June 17-22

Orientation to new leadership programs, specific duties and team building skills. Program Aide & CIT training will be provided. (However, those who have completed council-sponsored training will begin immediately to work with staff mentor.)
WEEK 2
Date to be determined through application process.

This week allows participants to utilize new skills learned.

Entering 9th-10th

Work directly with younger girls, sharing your expertise and knowledge of Girl Scouting and camp. Assist with 2 activity periods daily, help with special interest projects (skits, campfires, or camp newspaper), receive on-going training classes, and participate as a camper for the remainder of day.
$150 (2 week) Prerequisite: Program Aide Training
 
COUNSELOR
IN-TRAINING (CIT)

&
WRANGLER
IN-TRAINING (WIT)

Entering 11th-12th

Intern as a counselor, working directly with the girls, under the supervision of a staff member. Assist in special camp activities (camp government or camp newspaper), and receive on-going training. No fee. Earn $50 credit toward future programs or Wider Ops. (2week) Prerequisite: CIT Training
 
COUNSELOR

&
WRANGLER
IN-TRAINING II

Entering 12th

In the second year of CIT training, concentrate in a particular area (adventure specialist, nature specialist, art specialist, or administration). No Fee. Earn $50 credit toward future programs or Wider Ops. (2 week) Prerequisite: CIT Training & one year CIT experience.

THREE-DAY SESSIONS

POLLYWOGS
Entering 2nd-3rd • June 27-29
For first-time campers who love the water. Swim, canoe, fish, learn about beavers and other animals that live around water, and have a campfire by the lake. You will also sample many other camp activities. $150 /$200*
TEDDY BEARS
Entering 2nd-3rd • June 24-26 or July 1-3
If you have never been to camp, this session is for you! Explore all the fun that camp has to offer. You will try a taste of all the camp activities girls love the most as you work on outdoor Try-Its. $150 /$200*
JUNIOR SAMPLER
Entering 3rd-5th • July 4-6
Start your Adahi adventure with a Fourth of July barbecue with your parents, then enjoy a sample of camp activities, including swimming, canoeing, hiking, learning archery, singing camp songs, making new friends, and having lots of fun. $150 /$200*

SIX-DAY SESSIONS

JUNIOR ADVENTURE
Entering 3rd-5th • July 8-13 or July 22-27
Learn camping skills such as lashing, cooking over an open fire, and first aid, while earning the "Adahi Campcrafter White Moccasin." You will participate in arts & crafts, swimming, canoeing, games, campfire singing, and other fun Adahi activities. $200 / $250*
CREATE-A-CAMP
Entering 3rd-6th • July 15-20
What do you want to do at Camp Adahi? You will get to choose activities such as archery, canoeing, crafts, hiking, low ropes, nature activities, outdoor skills, or badgework PLUS experience the traditional unit and all-camp activities including songs, cookout, campfire and daily swimming. $200 / $250*
THREE FOR ME
Archery, Canoeing, & Swimming
Entering 4th-6th • July 15-20
A week of canoeing, swimming, and instructional archery offers a chance for you to develop skills in all of these activities. You may earn the Sports, Small Craft, and the Swimming Badges in this fun-filled session. There will still be time for lots of other traditional camp activities. If you are the active, outdoors type, this is the one for you!

WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS
Entering 4th-6th • July 22-27
Team Adahi returns! Soccer, volleyball, tumbling and swimming will be offered for the sports enthusiast, as well as other camp activities. Learn the rules and equipment while improving your skills and earning the Sports or Sports Sampler Badge. Couch potatoes need not apply! $250 / $300*
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
Entering 6th-12th • June 17-22
Have you ever dreamed of being a star? The spotlight will be on you when you take the stage! Learn how to produce a performance from set design and costumes to the art of performing live. "The Play's the Thing"' Interest Project will be highlighted. You will still be able to enjoy the other traditional camp activities, such as swimming, hiking, and canoeing. $250 / $300*
DANCE 'N' MOVE
Entering 6th-12th • July 22-27
Do you enjoy the rhythm of the down beat or the slide of the country dance line? This program is designed for you. Learn new dance skills and improve existing ones. From Folk Dance to Spotlight Dancing, Square dance to rock and roll, this week has it all! Traditional camp activities will round out your dancing days. $250 / $300*

 

 

THIRTEEN-DAY SESSIONS

CALL OF THE WILD
Entering 4th-6th
June 17-29
Learn the basics of outdoor survival! Earn the "Adahi Campcrafter Blue Moccasin" by planning and participating in an overnight in the field. You will learn knot-tying, lashing, first aid, and compass reading. You will also have time to participate in the traditional camp activities. $350 / $400*
SURVIVOR!
Entering 6th-12th
July 1-13
Rappel down mountainsides, track wild animals, and survive in the "wilderness" of Camp Adahi for 3 days! High ropes and rappelling are featured as you learn the skills of the "Adahi Campcrafter Red Moccasin" and prepare for your campout at the primitive camping area. $350 / $400*

EQUESTRIAN SESSIONS

Equestrian campers will be tested as to knowledge of care of horses and riding ability and then placed into a group with girls of similar abilities. All riding activities are weather permitting, although every attempt is made to complete the lesson in the barn. Bring jeans and sturdy one-inch heeled shoes or riding boots. SEI approved helmets required & furnished. In addition to equestrian activities, campers will enjoy traditional aspects of camp such as swimming, cookouts, crafts, and campfires.
 
SADDLE UP!
(beginner) Entering 4th-5th
June 17-22 or 24-29 / July 1-6 or 8-13 (6 days) Learn horse basics and care at Adahi Stables-saddling, mounting, reining, and basic ring maneuvers. The Horse Lover Badge could be completed. $275 / $325*
HORSIN' AROUND
(intermediate) Entering 6th-9th
July 15-20 (6 days)
Are you ready for more adventures on horseback? Participate in a basic riding test, basic performance skills (reining, Western riding and poles), and possibly a trail ride, skill level permitting. Emphasis will be placed on the Horseback Rider Badge (entire badge may not be completed). $275 / $325*

HORSEMASTER'S SAMPLER
(intermediate)
Entering 6th-12th
June 17-29 / July 1-13
(13 days)
Come to camp and spend some time with other "horsey" folks. Improve your own riding ability during daily classes designed for intermediate riders. Groom and saddle your horse, practice basic and intermediate ring skills, control your horse at a walk, trot and canter, and ride the trails of Adahi. The Horseback Rider Badge could be completed. $375 / $425*
HORSEMASTER'S HAPPY TRAILS
(advanced)
Entering 8th-12th
July 15-27 (13 days)
Are you ready for real adventure on the trail? Daily instruction in advanced Western riding techniques will prepare you for trail rides and an overnight pack trip. Must be an experienced Western rider and pass a riding test before pack trip. The Horse Sense Interest Patch will be featured (most requirements may be completed at camp).
