Camping Facilities

Camping Units
There are five units of platform tents. Each unit has ten tents (12' by 14'). Each tent has 4 cots or bunks with mattresses. Tents are placed in a semi-circle by an assembly room or open air pavilion. All units have handwashing facilities. hot showers, flush toilets. (Water is turned off from Nov. to Mar. or according to weather. During this time latrines are available and water is brought in, however, groups need to bring their own drinking water). During Resident Camp, three to four counselors live in each unit and have their own tent.

Cabins
Cabins at Camp Adahi Girl Scout Camp

Unalyi and Ahwenesa each contain five cabins. Each cabin sleeps 16 (4 sets of bunkbeds in each room). Each unit sleeps 80. Cabins have a lounge area and bathroom/shower. Each cabin has portable heaters and ceiling fans. You may be sharing unit houses including the stove and refrigerator. Bring coolers to store your food. See unit house "Assembly Room" located in the Unalyi Unit. See "Open Pavilion" that is located in the Ahwenesa Unit.


Other Sleeping Areas

Staff House
(Sleeps 10) Has kitchen facilities with indoor bathroom/shower, and cots with mattresses.


Field Camp
Pitch a tent or bring a camper (no hookups) and sleep in open 5-acre field.

 


Open Pavilion
(Available in Ahwenesa, Pooh Corner and Karakondye Units)
Contains a wood-cooking stove and oven, 4 large picnic tables, and refrigerator. A charcoal grill is available in Ahwenesa and Karakondye units.

 

 

 


Assembly Room
(Available in Unalyi & Talahi Units)*
Contains a fireplace, tables/ benches,
kitchen with electric refrigerator
& wood cooking stoves and oven.

Contains a treatment room with kitchen, two sick rooms (one isolation room
