Specific grade levels are listed for each event. There are also numerous programs specially designed for families of Girl Scouts. We encourage you to be involved with your daughter's interest in Girl Scouting.

Send in registrations early to ensure space availability. When an event fills, no further registrations will be accepted. Only early deadlines are listed. Registrations will be accepted at a higher fee if space is available usually two weeks prior to event. Contact the Service Center for final deadlines and pricing. Download Event Registration Policies for more information.

Fall 2007

Keeping It Real (Grades 7-12)
Want to hang out, have a good time and meet new people? Keeping It Real is a great way to build your self-confidence, make new friends, and have a blast! We’ll talk, dance, enjoy cool music and play games centered around different themes while developing leadership and social skills. Event #115. To earn two interest projects, you must attend all four sessions. Session 1:
Aug. 28 (American Idol); Session 2: Dec. 4 (Holiday Party); Session 3: Feb. 12 (Mardi Gras); Session 4: May 13 (Fiesta). All sessions will be held from 6-8pm at the Service Center. $30 per girl to attend all four sessions until Aug. 16. Girls may attend individual sessions for $10 per session.

River Raft Race (Grades 6-12, Bridging 6th grade & up: Troop Event; Adults)
For the first time ever—adults can join in this fun event. Girl teams and adult teams are invited to build their own rafts and compete as they float and paddle down the Hiwassee River. The two-hour trip will end with an awards ceremony. Event #123,
Sept. 8 on the Hiwassee River in Reliance, TN. Check-in by 12:30; race begins at 1:30pm. Bring raft, paddle, and life jacket for each team member. $10 per raft.

Nuts About Wildlife (Grades 1-12 and families)
Join us at the Chattanooga Zoo to kickoff our fall product sale program. Event #119-
A on Sept. 15 from 10:30am to 1:30pm. $3 per person until Sept. 6. Bring a donation to the Zoo of cardboard cylinders from toilet paper & paper towel rolls; peanut butter.

Fall Product Program: Fall (Grades 1-12)
Increase your budget (and get special incentives) by participating in this program that includes a variety of delicious Girl Scout candy products as well as non-edible gifts such as collector’s tins and a candle. Order taking begins
Sept. 24.

Program Aide (P.A.) (Grades 7-10)
This workshop will give girls a knowledge base that will enhance the development of their skills and abilities when working directly with a troop/group (under the supervision of an adult volunteer). Event #121-
A on Sept. 15 at the Mars Hill Presbyterian Church in Athens. $10 per girl until Aug. 23. Event #121-B on Oct. 13 at the Service Center. $10 per girl until Sept. 20. Event #121-C on Jan. 12 at the Ft. Oglethorpe United Methodist Church. $10 per girl until Dec. 20. Event #121-D on Mar. at the Service Center. $10 per girl until Feb. 1. All times from 9am-3pm. Girls need to bring a lunch, including drink.

Program Aide Specialty Workshop (Grades 7-12)
Expand your knowledge of crafts, games, songs and more! Become a Superior Program Aide while learning new tricks of the trade. Event #122 on
Sept. 18 from 6-8pm at the Service Center. $10 per girl until Aug. 23.

Scout Day at Lake Winnie (All Grades and families)
All Girl Scouts are invited to Lake Winnie on Sunday,
Sept. 23 from 12pm-8pm. They will receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. Girl Scouts must wear uniform, sash, vest, Studio2B shirt or membership pin. No reservation required. Adult supervision is required at all times. Pricing for adults and other family members can be found at www.lakewinnie.com.

Go for the Silver (Grades 7-9)
Girls ages 12-14 will receive information on the process toward completing the requirements to earn this award. Event #112-
A on Oct. 1 at the Service Center from 6-7:30pm. $8 per girl until Sept. 6; Event #112-B on Oct. 20 at the Ft. Oglethorpe United Methodist Church from 10-11:30am. $8 per girl until Sept. 27; Event #112-C on Nov. 3 at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in Cleveland from 10-11:30am. $8 per girl until Oct. 18; Event #112-D on Jan. 14 at the Service Center from 6-7:30pm. $8 per girl until Dec. 20. (Parents may also attend for $5 each.)

What’s the Verdict (Grades 7-12)
What’s it like to be in a courtroom? Observe and learn about court proceedings in a motion call in Judge Jackie Schulten’s Court. After lunch, we’ll visit Judge Rebecca Stern’s courtroom and watch the drug court docket in action. You’ll witness actual court proceedings where offenders will be sentenced. Event #130 on
Oct. 8 from 8:30am to 4:00pm at the Hamilton County Courthouse. $15 per girl until Sept. 13. Dress nice (button down shirts, dress slacks, skirts below the knee, blouses with sleeves, business suits, etc.—no jeans, no tank tops, no flip flops).

CentsAbility (Grades 4-66)
Junior Girl Scouts learn and implement key concepts and skills related to personal money management. They will explore the relationship between lifestyle and occupational choices and imagine themselves as young adults. Event #107-
A on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 at the Service Center. $15 per girl until Sept. 13. Event #107-B on Mar. 17 and Mar. 18 at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. $15 per girl until Feb. 21. Event #107-C on Mar. 24 and Mar. 25, location to be announced. $15 per girl until Feb. 28. All events are from 9am-4pm each day. Includes Money Sense Jr. Badge. Bring lunch, including drink.

Go for the Gold (Grades 10-12)
Girls ages 15-17 will be guided in the proper steps of designing, developing and implementing a worthy project. Event #113-
A on Oct. 15 from 6-8pm at the Service Center. $8 per girl until Sept. 6; Event #113-B on Oct. 20 from 12:30-2:30pm at the Ft. Oglethorpe United Methodist Church. $8 per girl until Oct. 18; Event #113-C on Nov. 3 from 12:30-2:30pm at the Wesley Memorial Church in Cleveland. $8 per girl until Jan. 10; Event #113-D on Feb. 4 from 6-8pm at the Service Center. $8 per girl until Jan. 10. (Parents may also attend for $5 each.)

Me & My Gal (Grades 4-12 & Adult Male*)
Girls and their dads* will spend a weekend at Camp Adahi canoeing, crafting, fishing, hiking, etc. Join in the annual pumpkin carving and come as your favorite “Star Wars” movie character and dance the night away. Event #118 on
Oct. 19-21. $30 per person (girl or adult) until Sept. 20. Note: Girls and adults are not housed in same cabins because they share a restroom; if staying in a platform tent, they can stay together.

Brownies & The Ducks (Grades 1-3 & Adult Male)
Spend the day downtown with Dad*. Start with a ride on the Tennessee River with the Chattanooga Ducks. After your cruise, you will attend a special show at the Vaudeville Café, “Mystery of the Secret Treasure Chest,” where you will be treated to a lunch of pizza and beverages. Event #102 on
Nov. 3 from 10:30am-2:00pm at the Chattanooga Ducks located at 201 W. 5th Street. $30 per person until Oct. 4.

Go for the Bronze (Adults only)
Adults will look at the four steps necessary for girls to earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award, a service project that requires a minumum of 15 hours. Event #111-
A on Nov. 5. $5 per person until Oct. 30. Event #111-B on Jan. 7. $5 per person until Jan. 3. Both events are from 6-7 pm at the Service Center.

Engineering a Future (Grades 5-8)
Girl Scouts is joining forces with Whirlpool (Cleveland Cooking Products Division) and Society of Women Engineers to offer a one-day hands-on opportunity for girls to learn about design and engineering. Event #109 on
Nov. 10 from 8am-4pm at U.T.C.. $10 per girl until Oct. 18. Additional program costs are being underwritten by a grant from Exxon Mobil. No adults. Bring toiletry items for Gardner House, a teen shelter. Includes lunch, patch and T-shirt.

Brownie Bonanza (Grades 1-3)
Come and see what being a Brownie Girl Scout is all about! Girls will earn three Try-Its (Penny Power, Building Art, Creative Composing). Event #103-
A on Nov. 17. $10 per girl until Oct. 18. Event #103-B on April 5. $10 per girl until Mar. 6. Both events are from 8am-12pm at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Bring diapers, children’s toys, baby items for Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter. Includes snack and three Try-Its.

Junior Jubilee (Grades 4-6)
Come and see what being a Junior Girl Scout is all about! Girls will earn two badges (Weather Watch and My Community). Event #114-
A on Nov. 17. $10 per girl until Oct. 18. Event #114-B on April 5. $10 per girl until Mar. 6. Both events are from 1:30-5:30pm at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Bring child-size toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, hand sanitizers. Includes two badges and snack.

Sleep in the Deep (Grades 1-3; 4-6; 7-8)
This overnight adventure will lead you to new discoveries at the Tennessee Aquarium. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be part of the Aquarium Team. Enjoy games, critters and a fun sleepover alongside the fresh or saltwater tanks. Event #127-
A (Brownies) on Nov. 30-Dec. 1. $50 per person until Nov. 1. Event #127-B (Brownies) on Jan. 25-26. $50 per person until Dec. 20. Event #127-C (Jr. & Cad.) on Nov. 2-3. $50 per person until Oct. 11. Event #127-D (Jr. & Cad.) on Mar. 7-8. $50 per person until Jan. 31. Includes IMAX movie, dinner and continental breakfast.



Winter 2007-08

CPR/First Aid Training for Girls (Grades 9-12*) These trainings on Jan. 5 from 9am-5pm at the Girl Scout Service Center will benefit all girls, especially those who babysit. *Girls must be at least 13 yrs. old and physically fit to inflate mannequin. Girls with asthma or allergies that affect breathing may have difficulties with CPR. Girls may not act as First Aider for troop activities. Event #208. $25 by Jan. 3.

Special Moments (Grades 4-6 & Adult Female**)
Girls and their mothers** will participate in activities that will increase their communication, identify challenges that teens face, hormonal changes, stress, added responsibilities, etc. Participants will complete “Becoming a Teen” Badge. Event #128-
A on Jan. 5. $20 per couple until Dec. 6 at Decatur United Methodist Church. Event #128-B on Jan. 12. $20 per couple until Dec. 20 at Ft. Oglethorpe United Methodist Church. Both events are from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Bring toiletry items (shampoo, lotion, deodorant, female sanitary products, etc.) for local women’s shelters.

Product Program: Cookie (Grades 1-12)
The cookie program is the premier Business & Economic Literacy Leadership Development Model for Girls. Girls earn “Cookie Credits” that can be used in the Council Shop for merchandise and also as payment for programs & trips. Order taking begins

Make It A Hit (Grades 1-12)
Join other teams of girls to build a Disney-themed structure using cookie boxes around center stage at Hamilton Place Mall on Sat.,
Jan. 12 from 10am-2pm. The red carpet will be rolled out as the 2007 Top Hats are introduced along with Ernie Keebler. Sample the two new cookies this year and enjoy other fun activities that will help make you a star performer. Event #120-A. $10 per team (up to 6 girls in a team) until Dec. 6. (No fee to watch.)

Arts Odyssey (Grades 1-3, 4-12)
Call all aspiring Juliets and Georgia O’Keefes! A day of the arts awaits. Girl will participate in a half-day art workshop featuring local artists and a drama coach. Event #101-A (Grades 4-12) from 9am-12pm. Event #101-B (Grades 1-3) from 1-4pm. Both events will be
Jan. 19 at the Athens Art Center, Athens, TN. $15 per girl until Dec. 20. Bring clear plastic bottles with caps or wire coat hangers for art project.

Winter Wonderland (Grades K, 1-3, 4-6 & Adult Male*)
Enjoy a special time dancing with your dad* at the Pavilion at Chester Frost Park. Event #132. Choose one session:
A (Daisy) on Feb. 9 from 1-2:30pm; B (Brownie) on Feb. 9 from 3-5pm; C (Brownie) on Feb. 9 from 6-8pm; D (Junior) on Feb. 8 from 6:30-8:30pm. $20 per couple until Jan. 10. Bring donation of new or gently-used children’s books for the Hamilton County Bicentennial Library. Includes event patch, tiara, finger food & photo package.

Brunch at Tiffany’s (Grades 7-12 & Adult Male*)
Join us for a delicious and elegant brunch at the Chester Frost Park Pavilion. It’s a special time to dress up in your prom or other fancy dress and spend quality time with your Dad*. Event #105 on
Feb. 9 from 10am-11:30am. $15 per couple. Bring donation of new or gently-used children’s books for the Hamilton County Bicentennial Library. Includes brunch, event patch and photo package.

Leader-in-Training (Grades 10-12)
Girls will work on developing their skills and abilities when working with others. Event #116 on
Feb. 11 from 6-8pm at the Service Center. $10 per girl until Jan. 17.

Tri-Sports (Grades 4-6)
Girls will learn the basics of basketball, soccer and softball as they experience the wide world of sports. Event #129 on
Feb. 16 from 9am-4pm at Ooltewah Middle School. $10 per girl until Jan. 17. Bring sack lunch, softball glove, appropriate clothing for outdoors and gym activities.

What’s Hot? (Grades 5-7)
Tour the Chattanooga Fire Training Center and meet a female fire fighter. Afterwards, tour Chattanooga’s newest and biggest fire station (Station 1 Downtown). Later, we’ll have lunch at Firehouse Subs before returning to the Service Center. Event #131 on
Mar. 18 from 8am-2pm. Drop off and pick up at the Service Center. $15 per girl until Feb. 28.

Camp CEO (Grades 9-12)
This innovative, two-day camp for young women is designed to open the door to the world of business. Camp CEO’s team-building activities and hands-on workshops will help girls build self-esteem and confidence, and equip them with basic business knowledge. Event #106-
A on Mar. 19 and 20. $20 per girl until Feb. 21 at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. #106-B on Mar. 26 and 27 with location to be announced. $20 per girl until Feb. 22. Both events are from 9am-4pm each day.



Spring 2008

Rough ‘N’ Ready (Grades 4-6: Troop Event)
Is your cowgirl hat starting to collect dust? Are your feet ready to dance the night away? Gather your denim skirt, blue jeans, boots, and western wear, and head on out for the trail to Camp Adahi. Spend the weekend hiking, fishing, craftmaking, canoeing, and zipping down the Zipline! On Sat. night, cowgirls will climb aboard the Happy Trails hayride. Troops will be responsible for purchasing and preparing their meals for Fri. night, Sat. breakfast, Sat. lunch and Sun. breakfast. All troops must have a Troop Camp 2 certified person.
One adult must attend the planning meeting on Mon., Mar. 10, from 6-8pm at the Service Center. Event #125. Mar. 28-Mar. 30 at Camp Adahi. Check-in is between 5-8pm on the 28th, and check-out is at 12noon on Mar. 30th. $22 per person until Feb. 28.

Browniefest (Grades 1-3 & Adult Male*)
Brownie Girl Scouts and their dad (or significant male) will spend the weekend at Camp Adahi enjoying camp activities, including a Harry Potter themed -event, “Mugglefest.” Event #104 on
Apr. 11-13. $30 per person (girl or adult) until Mar. 13. Note: Girls and adults are not housed in same cabins because they share a restroom; if staying in a platform tent, they can stay together.

Mall Madness - Survivor (All Grades)
Re-register in Girl Scouting for 2009 and you will be elgible to register for this overnight party. See if you have the stamina to “SURVIVE” an overnight at the mall with 3,000 other Girl Scouts! Event #117 on
Apr. 25-26 from 9:30pm-5:00am. $6 per person (Girl Scout/adult) by Apr. 10. Girls not attending with their troop must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Girl Recognition (All Grades & Families)
Attend this special recognition of girls’ achievements. Event #110 on
May 4 from 2:30-4:30pm at Notre Dame High School. Free. Register by Apr. 24 so we are prepared with refreshments.

Secret Garden (Grades K-3)
Get a taste of what it’s like to take care of a real garden. Digging in the dirt is only the beginning. Girl swill learn about the local environment and about how plants become food on the table at Crabtree Farms. Event #126-
A on May 17 from 10am-12pm; Event #126-B on May 17 from 1-3pm. $10 per girl until Apr. 17.
